The Simply Rules to Identify The Genuine Phra Somdej Wat Rakang.

Phra Somdej by Somdej Phra Buddhachan Toh Phromrangsi (Somdej Toh) is classified as the first of amulet in the grouping of Grand Five, "BenjaPakee", Buddha amulets in Thailand by the master of Buddha amulets in Thailand, “Tri Yumpawai”.
The value of Phra Somdej created by Luang Wijarn Jaeranai is the highest in the market.

The Simply rules.

1 Mould designed.
Phra Somdej Wat Rakang amulet is rectangle in shape, approximately 2.3 cm. by 3.5 cm. in dimension, thick 0.4 - 0.6 cm. The design of Phra Somdej amulet is unique, beautiful, and full of details. The design of amulet is image of Buddha meditate on the 3 bases lines, hair in sharp style and covered with bell curve frame.

Each genuine Phra Somdej Wat Rakang are unique characteristics and physical compositions although they came from the same moulds on the same batch, because of the amulet was pump out by hand.

2 Materials and Ingredients.
The genuine Phra Somdej Wat Rakang amulet can see the flow of materials and ingredients show onto the surface. Because of the amulet made of shell lime, incense holy powder, powder from flower pollen, 5 holy powder, tung oil etc., and passed the natural of physical process such as ageing process, drying process, weather condition.

The physical composition guidelines.
- Some parts of  amulet may have visible signs of sunken appearance on which was largely due to the natural process such as weather temperature, humidity and natural ageing process with the materials and ingredients.
- White spots on the surface may be caused by white shell powders.
- Red spots may be seen in some cases and is assumed to be caused by broken Buddha images e.g. Soomkor.
- Black spots are assumed as burned incense sticks or burned holy scriptures and pollen powder.  
- Green spots are assumed to be caused by fragments of green stone particles i.e. Jade or algae.
- Brown spots usually represent any one of the 108 types of the pollen flowers that are dried after many years. 
- Gold dust is thought to be old gold from the melting of an old golden Buddha image at Wat Rakang.
- Some tiny white bulge are assumed to be caused by the 5 important scared powders; Ittijae, Tri-ni-singhae, Pattamang, Maharaj, Buddhakun.
- Oily skin characteristic due to mixture of Tung oil.

3 The age of Phra Somdej.
Phra Somdej was created before B.E. 2415 or the amulets are over 140 years old. It's say that Phra Somdej amulets should looked old and can seeing natural crack line, natural hole mark, natural cracked or broken surface etc.

- Natural crack line.
Natural crack lines on the surfaces both front and back side of the amulet are assumed to be caused by drying process of the inner and outer skin layer. Some crack line appear on back side like crab foot prints, Pu-Tai.

- Natural hole mark.
Natural hole mark occur by natural physical process flow the materials and ingredients show onto the surface.
Phra Somdej Wat Rakang Pim Yai (SWR-021).

- Natural cracked or broken surface.
Natural cracked or broken surface due to ageing process and weather condition. The natural cracked can see on the left & right side of the back amulet edge which is different from crack-line that can't occur on the edge of duplicate by a fake pim.
